Going to Canary Islands you need to rent one of the unique villas in Tenerife. Staying in a big resort is a mistake. Point. Or maybe exclamation mark! Yes, staying in a big resort when traveling to Tenerife is a mistake!
Tenerife as an island has a very special vibe, it just feels exotic while still being in Europe. But to really experience this exotic vibe you can’t stay in a touristy place where they serve American or German or English breakfast… No, no, no, you need to immerse yourself in banana plantations, chase palm trees, black sand beaches, climb volcanos & catch ocean waves.
That’s why I have created for you a list of 20 best villas in Tenerife to rent on your next holiday. This is the ultimate list of villas for rent in Tenerife that offer you both luxury & seclusion.

My experience staying at luxury villas in Tenerife vs at the luxury hotel
During my 5 day trip to Tenerife (you can read here about all the cool things I did and ate), I have stayed both in luxury villas as well as 4 star hotel. I know, I probably shouldn’t compare this experience as it is like comparing day & night, but staying in villas in Tenerife was really so much more fun for me. I feel like I explored the history, the culture and the day to day life of Tenerifians so much more than when I was staying in a hotel in Puerto de la Cruz.

Yes, villas in Tenerife are not for everyone. You need to like seclusion, you need to like the nature, you need to like falling a sleep to the sound of ocean & picking up bananas from your own banana plantation. But if that’s what you are looking for on your vacations then villa is the best place to stay in Tenerife for you!
